Campus Ministry exists to help all members of the University community experience the love of the living God in their lives. By empowering students, staff, and faculty to take ownership of their faith lives, we encourage active participation in diverse ways of learning and living faith on campus. In particular, we form leaders, build community, and engage in prayer and worship. Rooted in the Catholic and Holy Cross tradition, we seek to meet all members of the UP community where they are in their chosen traditions, cultures, and practices. All are welcome and valued.
Early in the fall semester, we invite all first-year students to participate in “Connect,” an on-campus retreat that introduces them to Campus Ministry offerings through an afternoon and evening of fun activities, small group conversations, keynote speakers, and more. Connect will take place on Sunday, September 11, 2016 in the Bauccio Commons. We encourage students of all faith backgrounds to attend!
Students, new and returning, are invited to participate at liturgical ministers during Sunday Masses in the Chapel of Christ the Teacher! Students can become altar servers, readers, greeters, and Eucharistic ministers. There will be a training in mid-September. To sign up contact Anthony Paz!
The Encounter with Christ Retreat is one of the most popular offerings in Campus Ministry. Offered three times each year, it's a chance for students to get away from campus to get to know themselves, God, and each other on a deeper level.
