Eucharistic Adoration

Presence. Intimacy. Contemplation. Prayer. Christ.

There will be no regular Eucharistic Adoration on Campus during the Summer. Tuesday Eucharistic Adoration will resume on August 29th. Holy Cross Parish, just a few blocks away, offers Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament each Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Please see their website to confirm this schedule.

Eucharistic Adoration is the ancient practice of worshiping Christ in the Eucharist. It flows from the worship we perform together during Mass and the belief that Christ—his body, blood, soul, and divinity—is really present to us.

Many Catholics through the ages have found that Eucharistic Adoration helps them to focus their prayer and connect more deeply with God. As we view Christ’s presence in the Blessed Sacrament and enter more deeply into the mystery of God’s love for us, our prayer can become more integrated into our hearts and minds.

Coordinated by a group of student leaders and celebrated by one of our Holy Cross priests, weekly Eucharistic Adoration is available in the Chapel of Christ the Teacher on:

  • Tuesdays from 9:00-9:45 p.m.

All are welcome to pray in contemplative silence before the Eucharist. It is common to engage in music, preaching, reading, silence, personal meditation, journaling, and other forms of prayer during Adoration.
