COMMENCEMENT REHEARSAL
Earle A. and Virginia H. Chiles Center
  • Rehearsal is for both Commencement ceremonies and all graduates are strongly encouraged to be present.
  • Important details will be shared including processional assignments and information regarding Commencement photographs.
  • Rehearsal begins promptly at 11:00 a.m., so participants are encouraged to be at the Chiles Center early.
  • Doors open at 10:00 a.m.

NURSES’ PINNING CEREMONY

  • No tickets required. Doors open to public at 11:30 a.m.
2:30 p.m.
UNIVERSITY ROTC CEREMONY
Bauccio Commons Dining Room
  • No tickets required. 
5:00 p.m.
BACCALAUREATE MASS AND RECEPTION
Earle A. and Virginia H. Chiles Center
  • All graduating students and faculty assemble at 4:15 p.m. in the north corridors of the Chiles Center.
  • Academic regalia is worn.
  • The academic procession begins promptly at 4:50 p.m. 
  • No tickets required. Doors open to public at 4:15 p.m.
The University will host a reception for all graduates and their guests, faculty and staff, immediately following Baccalaureate Mass on the Chiles Center Mezzanine.

COMMENCEMENT I: Pamplin School of Business, Shiley School of Engineering and School of Nursing 
Earle A. and Virginia H. Chiles Center
  • Undergraduate and graduate degree candidates are to be present at the Chiles Center no later 8:30 a.m. Doors open for undergraduates and graduates at 8:15 a.m.
  • The processions form in the north corridors of the Chiles Center. Enter the building through the north doors, off Portsmouth Avenue. 
  • Academic regalia is worn.
  • Tickets required for guests. Doors open to public at 9:00 a.m.
11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
FAMILY LUNCHEON
Bauccio Commons
  • The University will host a lunch for all graduates and their guests, faculty, and staff.
  • No tickets required.
3:00 p.m.
COMMENCEMENT II: College of Arts and Sciences and School of Education

  • Undergraduate and graduate degree candidates are to be present at the Chiles Center no later 1:30 p.m. Doors open for undergraduates and graduates at 1:15 p.m.
  • The processions form in the north corridors and mezzanine of the Chiles Center. Enter the building through the north doors, off Portsmouth Avenue. 
  • Academic regalia is worn.
  • Tickets required for guests. Doors open to public at 2:00 p.m.
