Welcome to the Office of Financial Aid!

An education at the University of Portland is an investment in each student's future success. We are dedicated to helping students and their families finance a high-quality education at the University of Portland.

We welcome students and families anytime during business hours. The Office of Financial Aid is located on the ground floor of Waldschmidt Hall. We are open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; closed weekends and holidays. If you are unable to get your questions answered at the counter, counselors are available by appointment, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

September 23 - PDX High School Financial Aid Event

September 23, 2017 at 10 am is the University of Portland's Portland Area High School Financial Aid Event. This event is open to the Portland community and is geared towards graduating seniors. Topics covered will include applying for financial aid, filling out the FAFSA, maximizing aid and finding scholarships. If you plan to attend please RSVP or download the campus map with event location.

October 1 - 2018-19 FAFSA Available

October 1, 2017 is when the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) becomes available for the 2018-19 school year. To complete the 2018-19 FAFSA, students will utilize 2016 tax information. Students should complete their FAFSA as early as possible in October for maximum aid consideration for next school year.

December 1 - Final Deadline for Fall Semester Loans

Final deadline to submit loan applications (Direct Subsidized/Unsubsidized, PLUS, Grad PLUS, Nursing, Perkins, and Alternative loans) and/or changes for fall semester. Applications and/or changes submitted after this date may not be processed.

December 1 - Priority Deadline for Spring Semester

December 1, 2017 is the priority deadline for completing loan application processes (Direct Subsidized/Unsubsidized, PLUS, Grad PLUS, Nursing, Perkins, and Alternative loans) for spring semester.
