Since our founding in 1901, University of Portland has been a proud member of the University Park neighborhood.
We believe communication is always the best first step to good relationships between neighbors, which is why we have created this page to keep our neighbors up to date on what is happening on campus.
We encourage our neighbors to take advantage of the cultural, educational, and recreational resources we offer.

We care about how our institution and students impact the surrounding community and maintaining strong relationships with our neighbors is critically important to us. The University is an active member of the University Park Neighborhood Association (UPNA) and regularly attends its meetings.
Please contact our Department of Public Safety at 503.943.7161 with any concerns about security, student behavior, or parking. University of Portland public safety officers will respond to any citizen complaint within the neighborhood that involves University students.
If public safety personnel cannot address your question or concern, please contact the Office of Marketing and Communications at 503.943.7202 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
In order to help alleviate parking issues in the neighborhood, students, faculty, staff, and University service employees may not park between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on school days in two designated neighborhood “no parking” sanctuaries: 1) north of Willamette Blvd. and south of N. Princeton Street between N. Olin Avenue and N. Wall Avenue and 2) N. Warren Street and N. Willamette Lane between N. Monteith Avenue and N. Wall Avenue.
Members of the UP community who live within these two areas must register their vehicles with the Department of Public Safety to avoid being issued a citation for violation of University parking policy.
