Fitness Class Descriptions

Conditioning and Flexibility Emma Covert
Conditioning and Flexibility is a high energy workout that fuses dance and yoga exercises, and puts a fun twist on classic bodyweight exercises. The first 45 minutes of class are designed to make you sweat and improve your strength--packed full of abs, squats, and other conditioning exercises. The last 15 minutes are spent stretching and doing breathing exercises--which improve your flexibility and decrease stress. All experience levels welcome!

Meditation Kathryn Murdock
Take a break and have a sit. Join us for a mindfulness-based approach to meditation to increase focus, improve physical and mental health, and bring a sense of peacefulness to your day. All skill levels are welcome, and beginners are strongly encouraged.

OULA 
OULA is a high-energy, easy to learn, calorie burning, crazy-fun dance workout to chart-topping hits. Classes are one epic hour of sweat, joy, body-toning, and total inspiration! All levels of dancers are welcome to come and participate; it is the dance party you won't want to miss!

Pilot Cycle Rachael Aber, Dylan Clark, Amy Salisbury, Abbie Tougas
This class is full of carefully choreographed, intense indoor cycling that will make you sweat! Every drill is RPM-based and done to the beat of perky music.

Yoga Kelly Carder, Deanna Wright
Approachable, All Levels Vinyasa: Engaging sequencing and lighthearted flow with attention to strengthening, alignment, balance, and breathe work.

Zumba Bridget Donnelly, Corinne Foley, Kiley Gersch
Zumba is a mix of low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party set to Latin and world rhythms. It's exercise in disguise!

UP Employee Cardio Express Liz Winters
Cardio express is a quick bootcamp style class with exercise routines geared towards those who sit at a desk all day! Designed to be a quick afternoon pick-me-up, the class is comprised of bodyweight movements that focus on strengthening the core, glutes, back and opening up the shoulders and hips. All fitness levels are welcome, and modifications will be provided as needed!

Intro to Weightlifting Raegan Leong
Beginners weightlifting is designed to help people who either haven't lifted or have minimal lifting experience. The focus of this class is learning proper form for squats, bench, and deadlift. The goal of this class is to get more people comfortable and confident in the gym lifting on their own! Separate class offerings are available for men and women.
